Privacy Policy.
Last updated 7 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Dagda Guitars collects through this website, why we use it and what you can do about it. It is written to meet Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law 13.709/2018) and, for visitors in the European Union and the United Kingdom, the GDPR.
Who we are
Dagda Guitars is a guitar maker based in Concórdia, Santa Catarina, Brazil. The company responsible for your data (the controller) is Dagda Instrumentos LTDA, CNPJ 57.310.338/0001-67, [registered address]. For anything about your data, write to sales@dagdainstruments.com.
What we collect
- When you request a quote: your name, email and country and, if you choose to give them, your phone or WhatsApp number, tuning, string gauges, timing and message.
- If you tick the box to receive news: your name and email, and the date, time and wording of your consent.
- When you visit the site: like any website, our hosting provider receives technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. Our anti-spam check (Cloudflare Turnstile) reads technical signals from your browser to tell people from automated programs.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we never sell your data.
Why we use it
- To answer your request and prepare your quote. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract (LGPD art. 7, V; GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
- To send you news, only if you asked for it. Legal basis: your consent (LGPD art. 7, I; GDPR art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in any of these emails or by writing to us.
- To keep the website secure and stop abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the site and the people who use it (LGPD art. 7, IX; GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
- If you buy a guitar, to meet our legal obligations, such as tax and invoicing records (LGPD art. 7, II; GDPR art. 6(1)(c)).
Who helps us
We use a small number of service providers, who process data only to provide their service to us:
- Cloudflare hosts the website and its videos, protects them against attacks, runs the anti-spam check and stores the list of people who asked for news.
- Resend delivers our emails.
- Our email provider stores the messages we exchange with you.
If you buy a guitar, we also share what is needed with carriers and customs to deliver it, and with authorities when the law requires it.
Data outside your country
Cloudflare and Resend are based in the United States, and your data may be processed there or in other countries where they operate. We rely on the data protection terms these providers offer for international transfers, such as standard contractual clauses (LGPD art. 33; GDPR art. 46).
How long we keep it
- Quote requests: as long as we need them to answer you and follow up. If no order follows, we delete them within [period] of our last contact.
- Orders: for the periods Brazilian law requires, for example for tax records.
- News list: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your email address, marked as unsubscribed, so that we never write to you again.
- Technical data: kept by Cloudflare for short periods, for security.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to confirm whether we hold data about you and send you a copy, correct it, delete it, transfer it to another provider, tell you who we share it with, withdraw your consent, or stop using it where we rely on legitimate interest. Write to sales@dagdainstruments.com and we will answer within the deadlines set by law.
You can also complain to Brazil's data protection authority (ANPD) or, in the European Union and the United Kingdom, to the data protection authority where you live.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies for analytics or advertising. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technical data to protect the site and run the anti-spam check.
Security
The site runs only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Every request is checked again on our server, automated spam is filtered out, and your data is seen only by the people who handle your request.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we publish the new version on this page with a new date at the top.
